No Cross-Country Skiing Today
Unfortunately, the wind has picked up a bit, and Environment Canada has the windchill at 10AM at -24C. Mr. McIntosh and I have agreed that this is too cold to be outside for 2 hours, so we will have to cancel our trip for the day. It will be a regular school day in the classroom. I will see if I can re-book for later in the season.

Forecast is Improved, Cross-country skiing likely a go!
According to Environment Canada, the forecast has improved for tomorrow, with a windchill of -17C. This means that we are planning to run our field trip as planned tomorrow! Just a few reminders for the morning:
We are loading the bus immediately after attendance in the morning, don't be late!
Ensure you are dressed for the weather. Snow-pants and heavy winter jacket, water-resistant winter gloves and mitts, warm toque, long socks, and layers. We will be outside for roughly 2 hours straight.
We will be back at St. Peter at roughly 12:30pm.
If the forecast changes at all for the morning, I will update this blog with any further updates at 7:00am tomorrow. Otherwise, our field trip will run as planned!

Cross Country Skiing tomorrow
I wanted to post a reminder that we have our Cross Country Skiing field trip booked for tomorrow morning. As of right now, the forecast is calling for -29C in the morning, which would be too cold for us to go skiing. Hopefully the forecast is wrong! I will make a post on this website at 7AM tomorrow confirming if the trip will run as planned or not.
IF the trip is cancelled, we will have a regular school day in the classroom, and I will try to reschedule.
