Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break with your families!

Important! We are heading to Granite Curling Club for a learn-to-curl program for 3 afternoons this month. We are in need of at least 1 parent volunteer to accompany us for each one of the following dates. The first trip is this Friday, and we do not yet have a volunteer!

Spelling - We got our Week 9 word lists today.

Math - Today we took some time to go over our Unit 1 tests, which we wrote before the break. Then, we wrote and corrected our Pre-Assessments for Unit 5, Part 1. 

NOTE: Unit 5 is very large, and will be split into 2 tests. Part 1 will cover the fundamentals of Fractions and Decimals. Part 2 will cover Adding and Subtracting Decimals.

Arts - Today we learned about using foreshortening to add depth to an image. We started a new assignment, to create a self-portrait using foreshortening techniques.
